FRONTIER ZONE. THE QUANTUM VERSUS VARIATIONS AND ANIMADVERSIONS

Salomėja Jastrumskytė

On the one hand, the problem appears in the context of a metaphor that includes the synthetic category of “frontier’s zone” and pretends to unite the geographic and social situation of the work of art and its autonomy that is unimpaired and unsubdued to any hierarchical quantifiable allocation, becoming, thereby, a dynamic, operative interdisciplinary concept. On the other hand, the problem points out to particular functions of “beginingless” and “endlessness” of a modern work of art in a perpetual miscellaneous system of “infractions” and “forbearances” that fall under the category of polysemantic aesthetics. The latter point emphasizes several significant points in the process of modern art: suppression of variations on the one hand and their transformations into the search for animadversions on the other hand.
