Given the current epidemiological situation in the country, uncertainty and resulting anxiety, as well as to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection at our University, Senate decided that all study activities at Vilnius University are to be carried out remotely until the end of the autumn semester.

Only the following activities can be carried out face-to-face:

  • the remote performance of which is impossible or difficult, may be applied only by a decision of a head of a core academic unit or by a person authorised by the head;
  • laboratory and other practical classes requiring equipment located on the University’s premises;
  • activities that are necessary for the preparation of students’ final theses and whose remote execution is impossible.

In this case, it is recommended to ensure that such classes take place in the largest available classroom, with the participation of no more than ten participants (it is recommended to arrange the participants into groups of five individuals). During and between the classes, community members must adhere to personal hygiene and safe mask (or other face protection) wearing requirements; furthermore, the premises must be regularly ventilated.
