The Faculty of Natural Sciences was established in 2005 after the reorganization of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics.

In the faculty there are:

  • Department of Environmental Research
  • Department of Physics
  • Center of Biological Researches
  • Modeling of Physical Processes Center
  • Botanical Garden
  • Junior Physicist School "Fotonas"

At present the faculty has 4 professors, 14 associate professors, and 438 students - 256 full-time and 182 extramural students.

Since June 1, 2001 the Faculty of Natural Sciences has extramural studies.
